How does a Seatrek tour work?
Your Seatrek adventure begins at Mariepampoen near Mambo beach, a beautiful, calm bay in Curaçao, making it the perfect setting for an underwater experience. Here’s a step-by-step guide to what you can expect:
1. Pre-Tour briefing & preparation
Once you arrive, our friendly and professional guides will give you a short but informative briefing about how the Seatrek helmet works and what to expect during the tour.
No experience? No problem! If you can walk and breathe, you can do Seatrek.
You’ll receive a wetsuit (optional), water shoes, and a helmet.
There’s no need to remove glasses or contact lenses—you can see everything clearly!
2. Putting on the helmet
The Seatrek helmet is specially designed to provide a continuous flow of air, allowing you to breathe as easily as you would on land.
The helmet weighs 70 lbs above water, but once underwater, it feels as light as 15 lbs.
For kids and smaller guests, we use a buoyancy device to make the helmet even lighter.
The experience starts in shallow, shoulder-deep water, making it easy to adjust before fully submerging.
3. The underwater walk begins
Now it’s time for the real adventure! As you descend into the crystal-clear waters, you'll find yourself surrounded by schools of fish, beautiful coral formations, and other marine life.
You’ll walk along a designated underwater path that extends 100 meters (328 feet).
The tour reaches a maximum depth of 20 feet (6 meters), giving you an up-close look at Curacao’s marine biodiversity.
We even feed the fish, ensuring a mesmerizing experience as they swim playfully around you.

4. Returning to the surface
