Sea TREK Curaçao safety: what to ask before booking

Sea TREK is a guided underwater helmet walk, not a promise of risk-free participation. The published Curaçao tour welcomes ages 8–80 and does not require swimming skills or scuba certification. Those format requirements are useful starting points; they do not establish whether the activity is suitable for an individual guest.

Comfort and safety are different questions

A dry face and walking rather than swimming may appeal to a non-swimmer. Feeling reassured by that format is not medical clearance or a safety guarantee. What the current tour includes

The current tour page describes a helmet with surface-supplied air, a guide and a safety briefing. Follow the guide’s instructions. Guests under 18 need parent or legal guardian consent. No certification, inspection schedule or individual medical assessment is established by this article.

Questions to resolve before entering the water

• How will we communicate underwater, and which signal should I use if I am uncomfortable?
• What should I do if I have difficulty with pressure, breathing comfortably or following the group?
• How do I ask to stop, and how will the guide assist me?
• What entry, exit and mobility requirements apply to my visit?

Ask the guide to explain and demonstrate the relevant instructions during the briefing. Do not improvise an underwater response from a web article. If you do not understand an instruction or are not comfortable proceeding, tell the guide before entering.
